ARTISTIC PORTRAITURE FOR PROFESSIONALS

Strong visual identity helps finding the right clients.

Your logo, your website, your fonts, your profile picture all participate in conveying who you are. Rather than a classic corporate shot, I work with professionals (in creative fields or not) on an artistic collaboration:

They tell me who they are, what they love and do, and we build a moodboard that we nourish through diverse inspiration (photography, cinema, painting, literature, etc). This process is exactly what happens on fashion shoots, except here, we are not showcasing clothing, but a part of you that you would like to share through images crafted along with the photographer.

— WHO IS IT FOR —

Artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, creatives, or any professional who wishes to communicate something unique about them and the audience they are aiming to reach.

Usually people who contact me have a strong interest in visual arts, design, and crafts. But this is absolutely not a requirement: I actually would like more people to know they can have more interesting pictures of themselves.

— THE PROCESS —

This is the fun part: you get to throw in all your ideas and influences on a moodboard, and work alongside the photographer like a collaboration. You can participate as much or as little as you like, I’ll be right here with many references to suggest already.

We hone the direction online/on the phone, and when we have something exciting, we shoot. In my studio, on location, in Paris or anywhere in Europe, here again things are super flexible.

— THE FEELING —

Being in front of a camera is not natural, it’s awkward for most of us. My ultimate goal is not only the images themselves, it’s also about feeling good during the shoot and the whole process: good music, good coffee, making sure everything feels relaxed every step of the way. I want you to remember the shoot with fondness every time you will look at your images online, rather than a chore that was necessary — we have enough of those.

— ABOUT ME —

I am a 42 years old photographer/videographer based in Paris. I spent the last eleven years documenting the swing dance/jazz scene, shooting festivals/championships throughout Europe, and artists within the community: (dancers, musicians, MC’s, DJ’s).

Other works include: artistic direction for clothing brands, culinary/architecture/packshot photography, and skin retouching.

I’m also a video editor, festival organiser, swing dancer and avid cyclist.

— INFLUENCES —

Evolving in your craft means always exploring beyond your immediate domain. Painting, design, animation, architecture, literature, all arts, crafts and everyday details can provide ideas to play with.

To reply differently, I would say I focus particularly on the influence light, color and texture have on our sensations, whether it is how the light falls in a part of our living room, or the delicate transition in the Sfumato technique: they equally affect how we feel, and this is a never ending field of research that I find fascinating.

— COST —

Price starts at 650€ including a standard half day shoot, preparation, studio time, post-production and retouching of 12 final images; or based on a quote for bigger shoots + travelling expenses if applicable. Price depends on complexity, logistics and usage rights.

40% deposit at booking, 60% upon delivery of the images.

— TRUST —

This is a crucial subject whenever we are hiring someone. Here are a few words from previous professionals who worked on their visual identity with me:

“Collaboration with Eric went totally smoothly. Keen listener, he also offered suggestions that went beyond my expectations and everything matched my professional identity. He shows great sensitivity and attention to his clients. Very talented!” Peggy Chemli.

“Upon discovering Eric’s work we were immediately drawn to his creative eye and the personal treatment he imprints on his images, artistic without being unaccessible. The result was exceptional.” Frédéric Pasquier.

My dance partner and I had a photoshoot with Eric for promotional dance photos. From the beginning until the end, the service he provided was very professional. Besides that, Eric managed to keep the vibe throughout the whole photoshoot very relaxed, cosy and intimate, which made it easy for us to stay natural and get the best results possible. Very much recommended!” Katja Završnik.

— GET IN TOUCH —

Fill the form below: tell me anything that could be useful (don’t hold back, I don’t mind long emails!): who you are, what you’d need images for, what kind of people you want to reach, your tastes, your influences, your favourite band or the colour of your walls.

You can also directly call me if you’ve had enough typing for the day.

There is no obligation attached to those. The first contact is a super important step to get a feel if you want to embark on this little project together, you are very welcome to reach out even if you’re not sure.
